Nursery Practitioner (L2+) - Tonbridge (TN10) - Monday to Friday - £12-£13 per hour

A lovely setting based within a school in Tonbridge is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their small, close-knit team. The setting involves working with various age groups and offers opportunities for professional development. They pride themselves on a nurturing environment and support staff training and career growth. The position is available year-round, with flexible full-time or part-time hours, and an immediate start is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality care and development opportunities for children aged three months to four years, supporting their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
  • Being a key person to encourage and support individual development and learning.
  • Maintaining developmental records and observations using Famly, and liaising with colleagues.
  • Working as a buddy key person within a team to ensure consistency of care.
  • Ensuring the welfare of children, making sure they are safe, happy, and integrated into school life when ready.
  • Building strong relationships with children's families and carers.
  • Promoting positive behavior management and following up on behavior feedback.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues within the Early Years Department.
  • Supporting children, parents, and colleagues throughout the day as part of a team.
  • Supervising mealtimes with attention to dietary and medical needs.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare
