Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries in the UK is seeking an Early Years Educator to support children's learning and development in a welcoming nursery setting. You will contribute to the Bee Curious curriculum and work with a supportive team.

The role offers flexibility with 30 hours over 3 days or 40 hours over 4 days, with discussion at interview; you must have Level 3 Early Years qualification and experience with under‑5s.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with EYFS.
• Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

About Our Nursery

York is an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" nursery with a capacity of 120 children. It is a large, purpose‑built facility that was fully refurbished in 2017. The nursery offers age‑appropriate rooms, all of which have access to outdoor areas, including a unique enclosed woodland walk. Located on Eccles Close in Rawcliffe, the nursery is easily accessible by public transport, with several bus routes serving the area. One of the nearest bus stops is just a few minutes' walk away on the A19. The facility also provides free parking for added convenience.

What To Expect As a Nursery Practitioner

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
• Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
