Job summary

An established industry player is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join their team in a secure service in Gloucestershire. This role focuses on ensuring the well-being of mothers and their children in a unique environment. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and experience working with young children. You'll be responsible for providing high-quality care, planning engaging activities, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support families. Qualifications

Early Years Practitioner Level 3

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Location: Failfield

Contract: 3 months (with opportunity for permanent)


We are excited to announce an opportunity to be part of our team at a secure service in Gloucestershire. You'll be ensuring the well-being of both mothers and their children, all while navigating the unique challenges of a prison setting. Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-quality care and support interventions for children aged 0-2 years, both individually and as part of a team.
  2. Plan and deliver a range of stimulating activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  3. Monitor and document children's progress, ensuring their feelings and wishes are represented in record keeping.
  4. Be vigilant regarding child protection and safeguarding issues, reporting concerns to appropriate line managers as per our safeguarding policies.
  5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and their children.
  6. Support mothers in developing parenting skills and emotional resilience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above (Ofsted requirement).
  2. Previous experience working in a nursery setting with children aged 0 to 5 years.
  3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and maintain professional relationships.
  4. Ability to focus on the child's needs and represent their feelings and wishes.
