Job summary

Busy Bees Thurstaston, part of Busy Bees Nurseries, seeks an Early Years Educator to nurture children's learning, social, and emotional growth. You will work on EYFS activities and support families in a warm, welcoming setting on Thurstaston Road.

The role demands a Level 3 EY qualification, experience with under-5s, and strong communication and organisational skills. A supportive team and opportunities for progression are provided.

About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Thurstaston is an Ofsted-rated "Good" nursery with a capacity of 86 children, providing a warm and welcoming environment designed to help children thrive. This purpose-built nursery features multiple rooms for toddlers and preschoolers, offering bright and airy spaces for play and learning. In addition to ample indoor space and resources, the nursery boasts a fantastic outdoor area, as well as its own off-site Forest School, offering children invaluable outdoor learning experiences. Located in the heart of the village on Thurstaston Road, the nursery is a 10-minute walk from Thurstaston Common and a 5-minute walk from Dawpool C of E Aided Primary School. For those using public transport, School Lane bus stops, serving routes 671, 672, and 673, are conveniently located right outside the nursery. Free parking is available for staff.

What To Expect As a Nursery Practitioner
  • Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
  • Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.
What We’re Looking For
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
