Job summary

Busy Bees Southwell is seeking an Early Years Educator to support the intellectual, social and emotional development of children, within a nurturing, Ofsted-rated setting that upholds high standards of care. You’ll contribute to the Bee Curious curriculum and growth opportunities across the Busy Bees network.

As part of the team, you will plan and deliver EYFS-aligned activities, support a Key Person approach, and help create a safe, stimulating environment for children under five while engaging

Qualifications

  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
  • Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the EYFS.
  • Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

About our Nursery

Busy Bees Southwell is an Ofsted-rated Good nursery with a capacity of 48, located just a short drive from Southwell town centre. The nursery features three separate childcare rooms tailored to different age groups—babies, toddlers, and pre-school children—each offering a safe and nurturing environment. With bright, airy decor, the nursery provides a welcoming space for children to begin their educational journey. Learning is not confined to indoors, as the nursery boasts a secure outdoor area with fun equipment like slides, seesaws, and ride-on cars, allowing children to explore and play in a stimulating environment. Conveniently located on Allenby Road, the nursery is easily accessible by both car and public transport, with the Vicarage Road bus stop less than a minute's walk away, served by routes 26, 28, 29, and N26. Free parking is also available for added convenience.

Required Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
  • Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
