Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking an Early Years Educator to help foster children's intellectual, social, and emotional development at our Reigate nursery. You will contribute to a high-quality learning environment within the Bee Curious curriculum and collaborate with a supportive team focused on growth and wellbeing.

The role emphasizes building strong family connections, following EYFS guidelines, and delivering engaging activities that support holistic development.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Experience with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
  • Good communication, strong organisational skills, and ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.

Responsibilities

  • Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
  • Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities supporting children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with EYFS.
  • Key Person Role: Oversee children's development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

About our Nursery

Reigate, rated Good by Ofsted, is located in a charming listed building with a single-level design, featuring a small garden and a large car park. With a capacity of 93 children, we work closely with local schools and have recently begun collaborating with local businesses and charities to enhance our community connections. Our nursery is within walking distance of Reigate Station and offers excellent transport links, along with free parking for staff. We provide a physical and sensory room for babies, an academy for preschoolers, and a variety of extracurricular activities, ensuring a well-rounded and nurturing environment for all children.

Role Responsibilities

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner:

Required Qualifications
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
  • Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
