Job summary

Busy Bees Lewes is seeking an Early Years Educator to support the intellectual, social and emotional development of children.

You’ll use the Bee Curious curriculum to foster curiosity and confidence in young learners, while contributing to a nurturing, high-quality educational environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with ability to apply child development knowledge to plan and deliver activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, stimulating environment and prepare materials to encourage growth and learning.
• Lead educational activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Act as Key Person, building strong family connections and supporting individual development.

About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Lewes, rated Good by Ofsted, is a small center with a capacity of 51 children, featuring three dedicated rooms and a sleep room for rest. Our nursery boasts two gardens, providing ample outdoor space for play and exploration. We actively engage with the community through regular walks, helping children connect with their surroundings. What To Expect As a Nursery Practitioner

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
• Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
