Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking an Early Years Educator at our Harrogate nursery. You will foster the intellectual, social and emotional development of children within the Busy Bees environment and Bee Curious curriculum.

The role involves working in a supportive team, planning educational activities, and engaging with families to support each child's growth and wellbeing. A Level 3 EYFS qualification and experience with under-5s are preferred.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills with children and families.
• Strong organisational skills to plan and deliver activities.
• Knowledge of EYFS framework and child development.

Responsibilities

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's development aligned with EYFS.
• Key Person Role: Oversee children's development and build strong family connections.

About our Nursery

Harrogate Cornwall Road is an Ofsted-rated "Good" nursery with a capacity of 60 children. The nursery features thoughtfully designed rooms that group children by developmental stage, promoting learning and fun. It also has a creative outdoor garden area where children are encouraged to explore freely. Located in the heart of Harrogate on Cornwall Road, the nursery is just a 3-minute drive from the A61. Public transport options are convenient, with a bus stop on Rutland Road serving route X12 and Harrogate train station just a 20-minute walk away. What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner:

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.


• Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education


• Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
