Join our team at Banana Moon Day Nurseries as an Early Years Nursery Professional

We are a well-established and reputable nursery, dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children.

In addition to the usual paperwork, knowledge of legislation, the EYFS framework, confidence, and teamwork skills, you must also have:

1. Imagination: Be creative and ready to engage in imaginative play, such as pretending to be a pirate captain if a child requests it.
2. Memory skills: Remember the names of many children, their pets, toys, and details like what they had for dinner.
3. Processing skills: Quickly and accurately count children and manage multiple small, active children.
4. Health knowledge: Know basic remedies and how to address common ailments.
5. Music skills: Ability to learn and sing children's favorite songs (singing in tune is not necessary).
6. Playfulness: Be willing to 'eat' mud pies with worms and enjoy messy play.
7. Sense of humor: Be able to laugh at jokes, even if they are not understood or funny.

Most importantly, you should be prepared to feel loved, valued, and important to many young children and their families. There is truly no other job quite like this!

Minimum Requirements:

• A full and relevant Level 3 or above qualification as defined by the Department of Education on the Early Years Qualifications List.
• DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
• Relevant experience in the sector.
