About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Ashbourne is an Ofsted-rated Good nursery with a capacity of 81, catering to children aged 12 weeks to 5 years. Our caring professionals provide tailored, age-appropriate activities and experiences across rooms designed for each developmental stage. Located in a charming converted church on Derby Road, we offer easy transport links to Derby, Uttoxeter, and the A515/A52. Free parking is available, and you’ll work in a supportive atmosphere focused on children's growth and learning.

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner
  • Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
  • Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the EYFS.
  • Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development and care needs, building strong family connections.
What We’re Looking For
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
  • Skills: good communication, excellent organisational abilities, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
