Nursery Practitioner

Full-time (35 weeks per year)
Salary: 27,452
Location: N4 & N7

Do you have a qualification in Early Years and are looking to take the next step in your career?

This role is with a college that operates several on-site nurseries to support the children of students. The college is renowned for creating an inclusive environment where opportunities and support are available to build a strong, nurturing community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in their activity plans.
  • Plan appropriately for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum for guidance.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
  • Welcome parents and children to the nursery in a cheerful and friendly manner.
  • Participate in the training programme for a variety of students (e.g. placements and volunteers) by providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with EYFS advisory teachers, area SENCOs, and other external agencies.

Requirements:

  • A Childcare and Education Qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
