Job description

iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to work for our clients based in London and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will provide an emotionally secure, stimulating, and safe environment that will secure the children and families are prepared for and experience a positive transition into full-time education.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide, through forward planning, learning programmes for individuals or groups of children appropriate to their needs and developmental stages in accordance with the Early Years Curriculum.
• To be innovative by providing a stimulating and appropriate range of activities that promote the early learning goals, in accordance with the Childcare Standards and Regulations.
• To work in a productive partnership with parents/carers, resulting in the appropriate sharing of information and consultation regarding the needs and developmental progress of the children.
• To encourage positive self-image in children and their families regardless of cultural heritage, race, religious beliefs, disability, or gender.
• To develop an awareness of and maintain high standards of health and safety requirements in the centre, adhering to legislative guidance.
• To undertake key worker responsibilities for a group of children, monitoring and recording their development within their individual early years profile, and using this information to set appropriate developmental targets.
• To undertake any relevant or appropriate duties as required.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• A thorough knowledge of children’s developmental needs from 0-8 years.
• Ability to communicate effectively and fluently, both verbally and in writing, using appropriate styles.
• Ability to use own initiative and take responsibility where appropriate.
• Enhanced DBS Check.

Hours: 07:30 - 18:00, Monday – Friday (Shift rota)
