Job description

iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to work for our clients based in London and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will provide an emotionally secure, stimulating, and safe environment that will secure the children and families are prepared for and experience a positive transition into full time education.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To provide by forward planning, learning programmes for individuals or groups of children appropriate to their needs and developmental stages in accordance with the Early Years Curriculum.
  • To be innovative by providing a stimulating and appropriate range of activities that promotes the early learning goals, in accordance with the Childcare Standards and Regulations.
  • To work in a productive partnership with parents/carers, resulting in the appropriate sharing of information and consultation with regard to the needs and developmental progress of the children.
  • To encourage positive self-image in children and their family regardless of cultural heritage, race, religious beliefs, disability, and gender.
  • To develop an awareness of and maintain a high standard of health and safety requirements in the centre adhering to legislative guidance.
  • To undertake key worker responsibilities for a group of children. To monitor and record their development within their individual early years profile, using this information to enable appropriate developmental targets for the child to be set.
  • To undertake any relevant or appropriate duties as required.
Requirements
  • NVQ 3 or Equivalent qualification.
    A thorough knowledge of children’s developmental needs from 0-8.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and fluently using appropriate style both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use own initiative and take responsibility where appropriate.
    Enhanced DBS Check.

Hours: 07.30- 18.00, Monday – Friday ( Shift rota).
