Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our network of nurseries across Taunton and the surrounding areas. The role offers flexible shifts and immediate start, with pay £14.25–£16 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

You will create a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 0–5, support learning through play, and follow the EYFS framework while safeguarding as a priority.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification, or QTS.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Passion for helping children learn and thrive.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic personality.
• Confident with babies, toddlers and preschool children.
• Flexible and adaptable to different nursery environments.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Creating a fun, safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5.
• Supporting little learners through play, creativity and exploration.
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence and social skills.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and nursery teams.
• Supporting daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor activities.
• Following the EYFS framework and ensuring safeguarding is always a priority.
