Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated childcare professional to create a nurturing and safe environment for children. In this role, you will welcome and assist children, provide constant supervision, and support their daily activities while delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage children effectively. Responsibilities:
  1. Welcome and assist children on arrival and departure.
  2. Provide comprehensive verbal handover to parents.
  3. Ensure children feel included with peers at all times, including snack and mealtimes.
  4. Provide constant supervision and support.
  5. Assist and support all children daily as required.
  6. Support and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
  7. Contribute to planning and preparing daily activities.
  8. Create a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  9. Promote the welfare of children and young people.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 in Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current educational practice – latest EYFS (September 2023).
  • Ability to use information technology to support education (e.g., Iconnect/Parentzone).
  • Proven skills in working with children and understanding their needs.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
