Nursery Practitioner (Chelmsford based)

We are currently seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their passionate team and help shape young lives through learning, care, and play.

The Role:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be supporting children across all age groups from babies to toddlers and preschoolers helping them reach key developmental milestones in a safe and fun setting. You'll be involved in everything from planning engaging activities to providing emotional and physical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children’s learning and development through structured and free play activities.
• Provide high-quality care and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development.
• Work in partnership with parents and carers, offering regular feedback and updates.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure all children’s needs are met.
• Support the emotional, social, and physical development of all children.
• Be a positive, enthusiastic, and flexible team player.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A relevant childcare qualification minimum Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing, patient, and caring nature.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Start Date:

This role is available for an immediate start. If you are currently working and have a notice period, interviews can be arranged in advance, and the nursery is happy to wait for the right candidate.
