Job Details
- Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
- Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6
- Salary: £32000 per year + Ongoing Training
- Contract: All year round
- Hours: Monday to Friday
- Age Group: Children aged 2 to 4 years
- Experience Required: Previous experience working in an early years setting
- Qualification Required: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification
- Start Date: As soon as possible
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating fun, stimulating and age appropriate play and learning activities
- Supporting children’s learning and development through play
- Supervising children and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Supporting children with meals, snacks, drinks and personal care when needed
- Observing children’s development and helping to maintain accurate progress records
- Preparing activities and creating an engaging nursery environment
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers
- Working closely with colleagues across the Nursery and Extended Day Care provision
- Contributing to staff meetings, planning and nursery activities
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and care
About You
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification
- Previous experience working within an early years setting
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFSA good standard of English and numeracy
- The ability to create a happy, safe and stimulating play environment
- Strong communication skills when working with children, parents and colleagues
- Good organisational skills
- A positive, professional and dependable approach
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Comfortable using a tablet or EYFS software to record children’s observations and development
