Job Description

Wembley Park Montessori is recruiting for an experienced Baby Unit Manager to join their busy, yet warm and friendly nursery of 36 places. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week across shifts between 8am-6pm, with at least one half-day off per week.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £24,960 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and work collaboratively to ensure smooth nursery operations
• Caring for children, meeting personal and hygiene needs
• Ensure children’s happiness, safety, and developmental progress through observation, assessment, and planning
• Maintain compliance with legislation, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
• Implement nursery policies and procedures
• Share ideas, involve team in decision-making, and delegate tasks appropriately
• Build strong relationships with parents and children
• Utilize nursery app 'Blossom Educational' (training provided)
• Deputize in the absence of the Managers

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma
• Previous experience leading a room with children under 5 in a nursery setting
• Experience in Montessori settings preferred but not essential
• Positive role model and team player
• Extensive knowledge of current EYFS
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate, motivated, adaptable, and ICT proficient
• Current and clean DBS certificate
