Job Overview

Wembley Park Montessori is seeking an experienced Baby Unit Manager to join their warm and friendly nursery with 36 places. This full-time role involves working 40 hours per week, with shifts between 8am-6pm, including at least one half-day per week.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: £24,960 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
• 28 days holiday per year, including 5 days at Christmas and bank holidays
• Additional holiday days based on service

Daily Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth nursery operations
• Care for children, meeting their personal and hygiene needs
• Observe, assess, and plan for individual children's development
• Ensure compliance with legislation, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
• Maintain policies and procedures, and ensure paperwork is up to date
• Build strong relationships with parents and children
• Utilize nursery app "Blossom Educational" (training provided)
• Deputise in the absence of the Managers

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma
• Experience leading a room in a nursery for children under 5
• Knowledge of current EYFS
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive role model and team player
• Current and clean DBS certificate
