Nursery Practitioner - Level 2+ - ASAP start - Hildenborough TN11 - £11.44 per hour

We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team. This unique opportunity requires a qualified childcare professional with personality, creativity, and an open mind. The nursery practitioner plays a vital role in caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment, supervising staff, and sharing knowledge and skills. Creativity, reflection, and the ability to implement new ideas and strategies are essential to continually improve practice and support the team. There is no other job like this one.

This nursery is well-established and functions as a nursery and forest school, welcoming children aged 0-5 years with an excellent reputation. They take a holistic approach to childcare, emphasizing outdoor learning and allowing children independence in play and learning. An understanding and appreciation of forest school principles would be desirable.

Location: 8-minute walk from Hildenborough train station and 5-minute walk from the 402 bus route to Sevenoaks.

Main Tasks and Duties
  1. Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
  2. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
  3. Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
  4. Support children's learning and development through play
  5. Be a 'key person' to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
  6. Monitor children's progress to ensure they reach developmental targets
  7. Plan and create engaging activities for children
  8. Enable children to become more independent
  9. Help prepare children for the transition into school
Candidate Requirements
  1. Level 2 in childcare
  2. Able to commit to full-time hours (45 hours per week)
  3. Good knowledge of the EYFS
  4. Good communication skills
