Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming private nursery in Nottingham (NG17) to hire an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner.

You will engage children with play-based activities, storytelling, outdoor adventures, and sensory learning, supporting confidence, independence and early learning skills in a warm, nurturing setting.

Shifts run 8:00am–6:00pm, full-time, with a varied and rewarding day in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and Early Learning Goals.
• Experience supporting learning through play and daily routines.
• Caring, positive attitude with a passion for Early Years education.

Responsibilities

• Inspire curious minds through play-based activities and storytelling.
• Support children’s development of confidence, independence and early learning skills.
• Lead outdoor and sensory learning experiences in a warm, nurturing environment.
• Work in shifts from 8:00am to 6:00pm in NG17 with full-time hours.

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a vibrant and welcoming private nursery in Nottingham (NG17), looking to recruit an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly team immediately - This will be a permanant job based in NG17.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll spend your days inspiring curious minds through exciting play‑based activities, storytelling, outdoor adventures, sensory learning, and creative exploration. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll support children as they develop confidence, independence, and key early learning skills in a warm and nurturing environment. Shifts are available between 8:00am and 6:00pm, offering full‑time hours with a varied and rewarding working day.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
• A good understanding of the EYFS Framework, Early Learning Goals and continuous provision
• Confidence supporting children’s learning through play, small group activities and everyday routines
• A caring and positive attitude, with a genuine passion for Early Years education
• Experience supporting personal care where required
