Are you passionate about supporting young children in their earliest years of learning and development?

A warm and welcoming nursery in Southampton is seeking a caring Nursery Practitioner to join their team.

You will play a vital role in supporting children aged 0–5, helping them explore, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work alongside experienced staff to deliver engaging activities, support daily routines, and foster a love of learning through play and discovery.

Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:

  • Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
  • Assisting with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest times.
  • Encouraging social interaction, communication, and emotional well-being.
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues and families to support each child’s unique needs.
  • A kind, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Confidence working with young children aged 0–5.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and a calm, nurturing approach.
  • Experience in a nursery or early years setting is ideal.
  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
