Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. You will create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, intellectual, and emotional development
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime
- Assist with meal times, including feeding and promoting healthy eating habits
- Change nappies and assist with toilet training
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, including observations and assessments
- Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure the smooth running of the nursery

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early years education
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well as part of a team

Hours:

Tuesday 8:00am -4:30pm

Wednesday 8:00am -4:30pm

To extend to a 4 day working week from September/October.

Start date: 22nd July 2025


A childcare qualification is preferred but not essential for this role.

This role is subject to obtaining an enhanced DBS certificate. The cost for this will be covered.


Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 17 per week
