Job description

We are currently hiring for a Nursery Practitioner for our setting in Sidcup (DA15). Our nursery provides a nurturing and resourceful environment to help children aged 3 months to 5 years achieve their potential emotionally, physically, and mentally. Located an 8-minute walk from Sidcup station and a 4-minute walk from local bus routes, our setting is conveniently accessible.

We are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our toddler room, caring for children aged 2-3 years. Our hours are from 7:15 am to 6:00 pm.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Promote high-quality care within your room and across the setting.
2. Plan and implement activities using the EYFS framework and other resources to stimulate and engage children.
3. Ensure daily and weekly observations are completed and targets are met.
4. Build rapport and communicate effectively with team members, parents/carers, and external bodies such as Ofsted and local authorities.
5. Support and mentor staff as appropriate.
6. Be a positive role model for children and staff.

Candidate Requirements

1. Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare.
2. Experience working in a childcare setting.
3. Ability to manage a workload effectively.
4. Knowledge of Ofsted standards and the EYFS framework.
5. Good communication skills with parents, carers, and governing bodies.
