Nursery Practitioner

Zero2Fve are proud to be working with a well-established Day Nursery based in Reigate, Surrey who are looking to recruit a passionate, enthusiastic and driven Qualified Nursery Practitioner. This setting truly has it all with an extensive outdoor area to allow the children to take advantage of and an early finish on a Friday.

Requirements:

- Minimum Level 2 Early Years (UK equivalent) Qualification

- Good communication in English in both writing and speaking

Able to research to upgrade own knowledge of Early Years Statutory Requirement

- Experience of working with children ages 3 months to 5-year olds

- Be a key person with knowledge of Early Years Statutory Requirements through the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum by monitoring progress through observing, planning and assessing children

- Be willing to attend inhouse and external training

Key Responsibilities

* Be able to implement operational policies and procedures, adhere to them and ensuring relevant legislation is met.
* Be alert to issues of safeguarding, ensuring that the welfare and safety of the children and adults is paramount, recording and reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
* Adhere to room ratios in line with policy and rotas.
* Maintain and promote the provision of services of the day nursery, support and demonstrate inspiring and ambitious practice.
* Respond professionally to complaints (verbal/written), recording and reporting to management and assist positively with any actions required.
* Adhere to Health and Safety policies, completing risk assessments, hazard logs and documentation as set out in the operational plan
* Ensuring daily room registers and records of children in attendance are accurate.
* Assist with Quality Improvement observations and Inspections
* Participate in the emergency and security procedures such as emergency evacuation, door security and e-safety.
