Job summary

La Maternelle Family Childcare in Nantwich is looking for a Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about child development and creating inspirational experiences for children. The role runs 7.30am to 6.00pm with breaks and a four‑day week to support work-life balance.

All staff have access to a comprehensive training program, with an induction and the opportunity to study for a Level 3 Qualification while earning a full‑time wage, with clear progression into senior roles within the nursery.

At La Maternelle Family Childcare we are keen to employ the ‘right person’. The right person can be qualified or unqualified, experienced or in-experienced. Personality, enthusiasm and ambition are the most important qualities within our practitioners.

The role is 7.30am – 6.00pm with a 45 minute lunch break, and a 15 minute break, which can be taken in our cosy and well equipped staff room which includes a Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, tea, coffee,milk, hot chocolate, staff wellbeing resources (colouring books, fidget toys) and added extras throughout the year. The contract is four days per week with a set day off to be able to create a positive work life balance.

All new recruits will have access to our comprehensive internal training program. We place a lot of time and emphasis on staff training and consistently support practitioners to further develop their knowledge and understanding. Once staff have completed our personalised, thorough induction process, all practitioners are encouraged to complete a Level 3 Qualification alongside working and earning a full time wage.

Salary Information

Nursery Practitioner aged 16-17 - £10.43per hour Annual Salary - £17,355.52 (Based on 4 days x 8 hours per day which is 32 hours per week)

Nursery Practitioner aged 18-20 - £11.45per hour Annual Salary - £23,220.06(Based on 4 days x 9.75hours per day which is 39hours per week)

Nursery Practitioner aged 21 and above - £12.76per hour Annual Salary - £25,877.28(Based on 4 days x 9.75hours per day which is 39hours per week)
