Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a private day-nursery in Newton Abbot to recruit a Nursery Practitioner on a long-term basis, with the potential for permanent placement. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be Level 3 desirable (Level 2 required), have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and a can-do, adaptable approach, ready to work across rooms from 6 weeks to 4 years.

Qualifications

• Level 2 is the minimum requirement for this role.
• Level 3 qualification is desirable for progression.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children from 6 weeks to 4 years across rooms.
• Assist with daily routines and activities.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a private day-nursery with their search for aNursery Practitioner.This is an exciting opportunity work with a warm and positive private day-nurseryin Newton Abbot, who focus on child engagement with a therapeutic approach.The setting looks after up to125children, andboth indoor and outdoor areas are split into age-appropriate sectionsandprovidesensory enhancing activities.The nurseryensureschildren are able to challenge themselves and take risks in a safe and secure environment.

The nursery is looking to take on a Level 3 qualifiedNursery Practitioner, on a long-term basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the rightNursery Practitioner. You will report directly to the Nursery Manager and could be required to work across all rooms, supporting children from ages 6 weeks up to 4 years.In a time of growth for this Nursery, career progression opportunities are also available for the rightNursery Practitioner.

The successfulNursery Practitionerwill have:

• Level 3 desirable
• Level 2 required
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) curriculum
• 'Can-do' approach with the willingness to get stuck in
• Adaptability
