Overview
We are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to work full time. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 qualification in a UK recognised early years qualification.
We’re looking for a full time Nursery Practitioner to work 40 hours (fully flexible)
Responsibilities
- Liaising with parents/carers as appropriate
- Implementation and delivery of the EYFS
- Participate in professional development and training
- Share good practice with other childcare practice with colleagues, display exemplary behaviour and act as a role model
- Provide high quality care and activities for children which recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment
- Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourages creativity, development, co-ordination, independence, self-expression, and learning through play
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EYFS framework (including the Safeguarding & Welfare Requirements), for guidance in your practice
- Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising that parents are their children’s first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery
- Be aware of Safeguarding issues and follow the nursery’s Safeguarding procedures
- Ensure close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns
- Prepare and serve food and drinks for children, encouraging good nutrition and sociable eating
- Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with potty training and other associated welfare duties
- Carry out on-going cleaning of the nursery, toys and equipment
- Fully comply with the nursery’s outings policy to ensure the safety of children outside nursery premises
Requirements
- A minimum of level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
