Job summary

Oakwood Primary Academy invites applications for a Nursery Practitioner to join our caring team in a 10-hour per week role, Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 1.30pm. This fixed-term, part-time, term-time only position fits with our nursery day and offers flexible opportunities for additional hours (mainly on Mondays).

You will help create a safe, nurturing environment, support children with their needs, and contribute to engaging activities across play and lunch-time provision.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification required.
• Experience working with nursery or early years children preferred.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic about supporting young children.
• Understanding safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.

Job description

Oakwood Primary Academy is looking to recruit a qualified, enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. This is a 10-hour per week role, working Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 1.30pm, with flexible opportunities for further working hours (mainly on Mondays). This role will be on a fixed-term, part-time, term-time only basis, to fit with the smooth running of our nursery day.

As a nursery practitioner, you will help to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where our children can learn, play, and develop. You will support children with their individual needs, encourage positive relationships and work closely with colleagues to ensure every child feels happy, valued and supported. This particular role will be integral to happy fulfilling lunch time provision and learning through play opportunities too.

2. you have experience working with nursery or early years aged children
