Easily accessible for both drivers and non-drivers, this nursery is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their supportive and passionate team.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing as a Nursery Practitioner

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating and caring environment for children aged 0 5 years. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating a welcoming, nurturing space where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to learn.

• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Observing, assessing and recording children s development and progress, and maintaining up-to-date learning journals.

• Working closely with parents and carers to share key milestones, offer guidance, and promote a collaborative approach to each child s care.

• Promoting health, hygiene, and safety within the setting at all times.

• Supporting the nursery team in maintaining high standards of care, cleanliness and organisation.

• Ensuring all safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed in line with the nursery s and Ofsted s policies.

• Attending regular staff meetings, training sessions and staying up to date with best practice in early years education.

What We re Looking For: Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare (Level 3 or above is desirable).

• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the EYFS framework.

• A warm, nurturing and patient nature with a genuine passion for working with young children.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through TeacherActive).

• The right to work in the UK.
