Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery setting.
- Assist with daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transportation needs related to nursery activities.
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff members effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- A caring attitude towards children with an understanding of their developmental needs.
