Job description
Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, qualified nursery practitioner to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Support children's imagination and engagement with age-appropriate activities.
  • Answer questions with a positive, friendly approach.
  • Read stories regularly and create engaging learning experiences.
  • Assist with creative play, crafts, and safeguarding (e.g., supervising pet scenarios in a safe, playful context where applicable).
  • Support painting, dress-up, storytelling, and other activities that foster development and collaboration.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Level 3 ONLY.
  • Monday to Friday 7am – 6pm.
  • Shift Patterns: 7am-4.30pm, 7.30-5.00pm, 8-5.15pm, 8.30-6.00pm. Half an hour lunch. Must be able to do a minimum of 36 hours per week. Full days only, no half-days or school hours.
  • Must have experience within the last 3 years (minimum of 6 months) in a 0-5 year setting (no childminding, no babysitting).
  • Recent experience in the past 3 years with activities for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years; personal care needs are met; working within the EYFS framework & Ofsted regulations.
  • Role includes writing up children's records and cleaning the nursery.
  • Be prepared to take on additional training when required and to work as part of a team.
