Temporary Nursery Nurse

We are currently recruiting qualified Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants (Level 2 or 3) for nurseries in the South West London area.

You will be working with a caring and passionate team of consultants on a temporary basis.

Qualifications & skills required:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education
• At least one year's experience working as a Nursery Nurse within an Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
• Strong understanding of child development
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Passion for working with children under 5
• Understanding of nursery duties
• Ability to use own initiative

Your role would include:

• Maintaining and organizing a clean, child-friendly environment
• Supervising activities such as messy play, crafts, cooking, reading, outdoor/physical pursuits
• Safeguarding children at all times
• Catering for children with additional needs
• Encouraging independent learning
• Feeding meals, snacks, and drinks
• Changing nappies or assisting with potty/toilet training
• Teaching life skills such as hygiene and manners
• Collaborating with health and social care professionals and handling admin tasks
• Communicating regularly with parents
