Nursery Nurse – Tuebrook (L13)
Location: Tuebrook, Liverpool (L13)
Position: Nursery Nurse

A well-established and respected nursery in the Tuebrook area (L13) is seeking to appoint a qualified Nursery Nurse to join its dedicated team from September 2025. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 1 to 4 years in a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes early development and lifelong learning.

Role Overview

As a Nursery Nurse, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young children. Working collaboratively with fellow staff, you will help facilitate learning through play, encourage social interaction, and promote emotional and physical well-being. Your passion for early years education, creativity, and caring nature will contribute significantly to the positive experience of both children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, cognitive, and social development.
  • Provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere that builds positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organised environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging curriculum plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • A recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy setting.

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding certificates.
