Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the MiChild group.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team in our Teddies nursery.

If you are highly motivated, flexible, experienced in working in Early Years and you have a genuine interest in working with children, then this is the role for you.

Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education or equivalent.
  • Must be passionate and possess a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children attending the setting.
  • To have a can-do attitude and be adaptable to the needs of the nursery and company.
  • To have a firm and broad understanding of the EYFS Statutory requirements and how to implement these.
Key Responsibilities
  • To prioritise the safeguarding of all children, staff, and families that have access to the setting.
  • To promote a fun, high-quality environment for all children in our care.
  • Ensuring the Welfare and Learning development requirements of all children are met at all times.
  • To confidently and respectfully work in partnership with parents and carers.
  • Undertake a shared responsibility for the health and safety of the nursery.
  • Ensure all children are clean, loved, and happy at all times.
  • Adhere to all Policies and Procedures set out by the company.
  • Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures relating to the nursery.
  • Take pride in the delivery of exciting and age-appropriate activities.
  • To confidently carry out planning, observations, and next steps for your key group.
  • To ensure mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing.
  • To fully comply with our Confidentiality policy.
  • To fully understand and promote the company's Ethos and Core Values.
  • To be a key player to ensure the nursery receives excellent outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted.
  • To use initiative at all times.
Experience
  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
