Nursery Nurse or Nursery Assistant (Part Time - Afternoons), Cambridge

Babraham Nursery recognises every child as an individual and prepares them for their first school steps within a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.

Starting salary:
- Level 3 qualified: £18,357 per annum (£26,840 FTE)
- Level 2 qualified: £17,477 per annum (£25,210 FTE)
- Nursery Assistant: £16,806 per annum (£24,242 FTE)

We are seeking to recruit a Level 2 or 3 Nursery Nurse, or a Nursery Assistant, to work across all ages within the nursery. The successful candidate will assist with the care and development of children and will be expected to work afternoons from 12 pm to 5.45 pm Monday to Thursday and 12 pm to 5.15 pm on Fridays, totaling 28.25 hours per week.

Our Nursery is primarily for staff at the Babraham Institute, a renowned research charity in life sciences. The nursery, opened in September 1990, operates from a large house in a quiet residential area within the Institute grounds. It offers a homely atmosphere, surrounded by green fields and woods, with a large enclosed garden featuring climbing frames, pathways, and grassed areas.

It accommodates up to ninety children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years, and also runs a separate after-school and holiday club for school-aged children.
