Qualifications

Job description

Nursery Nurse

We are proud to be working on behalf of a Forest School inspired Nursery setting, who are looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse for their unique purpose-built outdoor setting located near Broadbottom, Cheshire. The successful Nursery Nurse must have a genuine passion for childcare and is happy to work outdoors alongside children from the ages of 9months-5 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • To create forest school activities outside and engage children's interest supporting their natural development in nature
  • To work with reference to current legislation, Ofsted guidance, National Standards and EYFS.
  • To work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery provides the highest possible care to children in our setting.
  • To work with reference to current legislation, Ofsted guidance, National Standards and EYFS.
  • To ensure that health, safety and security measures are constantly upheld, monitored and maintained, within the nursery environment
  • To be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the safety and care of children, working in line with all policies and procedures to the highest standards and being proactive in highlighting and questioning practices that may need reviewing
  • To record your key person children s developmental progress in line with nursery procedures, and National Standards using the FAMLY APP on our nursery iPad.
  • To work with parents to maintain good relationships and meet the needs of all children and families
  • To be flexible within your role to help other members of staff where required

Requirements

  • Childcare qualification L3 or above
  • Over 2 years of Experience in Early Years Education
  • Valid DBS certificate and on the update service
  • Pediatric first aid certificate
