Job description

Our client is looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse or Apprentice for their unique OUTSTANDING Ofsted-rated Private Day Nursery near Kemsing, Sevenoaks. The suitable candidate must be passionate, enthusiastic, and driven to provide young children with the best early years education and care for their development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, implement, and deliver the EYFS curriculum tailored to children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.
2. Understand and adhere to nursery policies and procedures, including child protection, incident and accident response, complaints, and emergencies.
3. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and assessments, including progress reports and behavioral and developmental observations using nursery iPads and the Tapestry online learning journal. Implement recommendations from regulatory inspections.
4. Respond to each child's individual care and attention needs, providing high levels of care and supervision to promote their health and well-being.
5. Act as a Key Person for a group of children, ensuring their needs are reflected in routines and activities. Communicate regularly with parents and carers about their child's progress and encourage parental involvement in learning.
6. Be aware of children with special educational needs and disabilities, working with staff and external agencies to support these children effectively.
7. Promote positive values, attitudes, and good behavior, managing conflicts promptly and encouraging children to take responsibility for their behavior.
8. Undertake any reasonable duties as directed by the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager.
