We at Zero2Five are proud to be working with a quality Pre-School setting based around beautiful scenery and nature in Fordcombe, Tunbridge Wells. They are looking to employ an enthusiastic Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their experienced and dedicated team in providing children a safe, secure, caring, and supportive environment, fostering their growth and development within the nursery.

Requirements for this role:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years (UK equivalent) Qualification
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience working with children aged 2-5
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS and all statutory requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and uphold the nursery's policy on safeguarding and the wellbeing of children, working in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Be part of the Early Years Team providing a stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Promote inclusion for all children.
  • Hold the responsibility as a Key Person for up to 8 children.
  • Use professional knowledge to meet the diverse needs of children, establishing positive relationships and acting as a role model.
  • Assist the Health and Safety Designated Person with risk assessments.
  • Organize the environment to meet the needs of children, considering their abilities, interests, language, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Encourage interaction and cooperation among children, supporting manners and sharing.
  • Monitor and evaluate children's learning using various assessment strategies.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Adhere to the code of conduct, data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding policies.
  • Follow all Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Perform duties assigned by management to support nursery operations.
  • Provide objective feedback and reports on children's progress to parents and professionals.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage 2021 curriculum, meeting children's interests and needs.
