Nursery Nurse

Do you have a passion for working with children ?

Playdays Day Nursery based at The James Cook University Hospital are looking to recruit a Nursery Nurse to work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday in our 86 place Nursery.

The Nursery opens at 06:45-18:00 hours and the Nursery staff work in between these times.

Do you have a level 3 full Childcare qualification ? Do you not mind getting messy whilst watching children grow and develop.

Main duties of the job

Caring for children aged from 0-4 years.

Meeting the childrens physical care needs and challenging the children to meet all their Developmental needs.

Working as part of a team to provide a service to NHS staff.

Developing relationships with the children and their parents or carers.

Liasing with external agencies to meet the needs of the children.

About us

Qualifications
  • NNEB /BTEC/NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent
  • GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English
Knowledge
  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Requirements of the Childcare Act 2009
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards & regulations
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Experience
  • Work placement experience within a childcare setting
