We are a team of dedicated professionals, ranging from Nursery Trainees to Degree Level practitioners, seeking individuals passionate about providing a stimulating, friendly, and caring environment for children.

As a Level 3 Nursery Nurse, you will be responsible for a group of children, providing daily care and activities, and completing developmental reviews. We care for children from 6 months old until they start school in Reception. You will maintain standards of care and learning opportunities, supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Berkshire Healthcare Nurseries have been operating for over 25 years across Maidenhead, Slough, and Reading. Owned by the NHS, our nurseries are highly recommended by families, reflecting the high standards of care aligned with NHS expectations.

We offer full-day care for 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, with work on a rota basis for hours per week.

Main duties of the job

• Encourage all areas of children’s development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through activities, play, and innovative programming.
• Maintain development records and report to the Team Leader.
• Provide a stimulating, friendly, and caring environment.
• Follow good practices regarding special needs and inclusion, working with the nursery and area SENCO.
• Act as a key carer, building relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with professional teams to improve childcare quality and stay updated on current practices and policies.

Requirements for the role:

• NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection protocols.
