Nursery Nurse Job
A school in Lambeth is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join a fantastic and inclusive school in Lambeth working with early years (EYFS) with severe learning difficulties and ASD. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence through play-based learning. If you have patience, creativity, and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils, this might be the role for you!

The successful Nursery Nurse applicant will be given an exciting opportunity to work as a part of a large special needs school in Lambeth that caters for students from ages 4-19 where your energy and experience will be valued as you play an important part working each day towards the school's aim to meet the varied needs of its students.

As a Nursery Nurse, you will enjoy a high degree of job satisfaction as you have the opportunity to use your skills working with EYFS (reception or nursery) aged students who need support building their independence through play and art therapy.

* Pupils from Lambeth and the surrounding areas who attend this school are offered a broad and balanced curriculum, tailored around an extensive knowledge of their learning difficulties.
* Support and training offered every week to further develop your knowledge and skills as a teaching assistant for children with varied needs.
* You will be working with skilled Teachers and other Nursery Nurses in a classroom environment.

The Nursery Nurse Responsibilities
* Work with class teachers to raise the learning of pupils.
* Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
* Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.
* Support with planning, preparation, and resourcing for lessons that promote play-based learning both indoors and outdoors.
* Promote, support, and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
* Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
* Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
* Support with personal care when needed with other staff members.

The Nursery Nurse Applicant
The ideal Nursery Nurse applicant will have the following qualities:

* Experience working with EYFS students or students in a nursery setting.
* Sensitivity and understanding to help build good relationships with pupils.
* A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.

* EYPS qualification desirable but not essential.
