Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Gillingham is seeking a Level 2 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a busy nursery team on a full-time, long-term basis. You will support babies and young children with feeding, personal care and play-based learning, ensuring their daily routines are safe, nurturing and engaging.

Candidates should hold a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years, have experience in a nursery setting and be confident with EYFS principles, teamwork and clear communication.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a nursery setting in Gillingham that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner. The nursery is seeking a caring and passionate individual who can help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where young children feel supported and encouraged to learn through play.

The nursery is looking to take on a Level 2 qualified Nursery Practitioner on a full-time, long-term basis, providing consistent care and support to young children throughout their daily routines. The successful Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for supporting feeding, nappy changing, personal care and engaging children in age-appropriate activities, while promoting their social, emotional and physical development.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (essential)
• Excellent experience working with babies and young children in a nursery or early years setting
• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Confidence in supporting personal care routines, including feeding, nappy changing and maintaining children's hygiene
• The ability to plan and engage children in stimulating, age-appropriate play and learning activities
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills
