Job description

We are seeking to appoint at least 1 Nursery Nurse to support a nursery in Willand.

The nursery, based in WILLAND, EX15, requires a Nursery Nurse / Primary experienced teaching assistant to support with short-term sickness/holiday cover. Ideally, candidates should have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.

The nursery has 2 sites, only 10 minutes apart. It is set in a lovely environment with a strong focus on outdoors and nature!

Hours: 8am to 6pm, with some shifts from 8am to 6pm and others from 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities:

1. Guide children as a Nursery Nurse / Teaching Assistant, providing personalized support.
2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop support plans.
3. Foster a nurturing environment that enhances social interactions and communication skills.
4. Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement interventions to address behavior challenges and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements:

• Ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years.
• Experience working across all age groups in nurseries or schools.
• Effective communication skills for clear interactions.
• Applicants with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be prioritized.
