Job description

Here at Zero2Five, we are proud to be working with a brilliant independent day nursery that is looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner for their quality setting near Cricklewood, London. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in standard English, both written and spoken, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A genuine passion for childcare is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Undertake activities with key children and small groups to facilitate their physical, emotional, and educational development within a safe environment.
  2. Establish supportive relationships with children and address parental concerns to facilitate effective communication and partnership between the nursery and home.
  3. Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children.
  4. Plan activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, promoting independent learning to support children's understanding.
  5. Keep detailed observations to identify children with additional needs for review and statutory assessment as appropriate.
  6. Promote and reinforce children's self-esteem and encourage them to maximize their achievement and development.
  7. Encourage acceptance and inclusion of children with special educational needs to support their achievement and development.
  8. Support the teacher by monitoring, assessing, and recording children's development.
