Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. Buckinghamshire is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming nursery within an independent school, caring for children aged 12 months to 4 years. You will oversee daily operations, support staff, and deliver a safe, stimulating, play-based EYFS curriculum.

The role offers term-time work across 36 weeks plus holiday club, with hours roughly 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on a rota. Strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge and excellent communication are essential to support

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification; Level 5 or above desirable.
• Significant experience working in an early years setting.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
• Excellent communication, organisational and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team.
• Deliver a high-quality, play-based curriculum in line with the EYFS framework.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor children's development and support smooth transitions into Reception.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Manage staffing, rotas, resources and daily nursery operations.
