Job description

Protocol Education is currently working with a lovely private school based in Muswell who are looking to recruit a full time Nursery Manager on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Academic
  1. At least Grade C/Grade 4 at GCSE in Maths, English and Science
  2. NVQ Level 3 in a recognised childcare/early years education qualification
  3. (Preferable) Level 4, 5 or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  4. (Preferable) Designated Safeguarding Lead Qualification
Experience
  1. Varied experience across a range of early years/nursery settings
  2. Experience in leading teams within an early years and/or school setting (ideally at least 3 years)
  3. Experience with managing and maintaining strong relationships with children, staff and parents
  4. Experience with safeguarding within an educational setting
  5. Experience of managing a budget
Skills
  1. Ability to lead a team, both strategically and operationally
  2. Thorough understanding of all statutory frameworks and guidance relating to Early Years care/education in England
  3. Autonomy and trustworthiness
  4. Ability and willingness to set and maintain high standards and hold others to account if necessary
  5. Good IT competency
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills
  7. Excellent time management and administration skills
