Job summary

Hopscotch Day Nurseries Ltd in Southampton is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a brand new setting on the eastern side of the city. This pivotal role involves building a strong team, delivering high-quality care and education, and creating an outstanding nursery experience for children and families.

You will ensure EYFS and safeguarding standards are met, drive occupancy, and oversee budgets, staffing, and daily operations for a 40-hour week, 52 weeks a year, with a competitive

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE / Functional skills level 2 in Maths.
• 2 years+ experience in Nursery management.
• Previous nursery leadership or management experience.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding childcare.
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a team.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• IT skills to use Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Famly experience is desirable.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to join Hopscotch as we continue to grow and expand our nursery family with the opening of a Brand New Setting in Southampton. Located on the eastern side of the city, this exciting new nursery will be situated within a thriving local community, strong transport links, and a welcoming family-focused environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping a new setting from the very beginning, building a successful team, and creating an exceptional nursery for children and families.
