Banana Moon Day Nursery Royston opens a brand new setting in October 2026. We seek an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead operations, deliver outstanding care and education, and build a positive team and community.

You will implement policy, recruit and onboard staff, embed our Banana Moon Curriculum, and uphold EYFS standards while maintaining health and safety for children and colleagues. The role is full-time, 40 hours, with a competitive salary and strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ EY Qualification required
• DBS Enhanced Disclosure required
• Paediatric First Aid training (12h)
• Safeguarding training
• Minimum 2 years management experience
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and regulations
• Proven history of achieving Good/Outstanding in nursery settings
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Full-time role (40 hours) 7:30am–6:30pm

Brand New Nursery Opening October 2026 - Looking for a new challenge?

Banana Moon Day Nursery is delighted to share the news of our brand new nursery in Royston. We are currently looking for an exceptional Nursery Manager to join our family run nursery on our exciting journey. You will be responsible for providing exceptional care and education to children, while creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the children and staff team in our brand new setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including building a positive reputation within the local area, administrative tasks and staff deployment.
• Embed the bespoke, play based, Banana Moon Curriculum
• Be responsible for leading and implementing the nursery operations, which will involve the selection and onboarding of team members.
• Build strong relationships with families, fostering open communication and supporting their child's development milestones.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all staff and children in the nursery.
  

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, along with excellent leadership and management skills. You should have a thorough understanding of early years frameworks and regulations, and be passionate about providing the best possible care and education for young children. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with staff, families, the Banana Moon Franchise team, and other external stakeholders.

• A full and relevant level 3 or above qualification as defined by the Department of Education on the Early Years Qualifications List.
• DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
• Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
• Safeguarding training and qualification
• Minimum of 2 years management experience
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
• A proven history of successfully managing settings to achieve a 'good' or 'outstanding' grading.
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full time (40 hours) position, between 7.30am - 6.30pm
