Nursery Manager (up to 3's)

Chichester, West Sussex

GBP38,626 - GBP41,511 per annum (salary depends on experience and/or qualifications and will be discussed at registration)

The School and Role:

Are you an experienced early years practitioner with a passion for nurturing both children and staff?

We are seeking a Nursery Manager (Up to 3's) to work full-time in a nursery in Chichester. You will nurture and stimulate children aged 0-4 while fostering academic, personal, and social growth. The role is Monday to Friday, with hours varying between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm. You will join a dedicated, friendly team passionate about giving children a strong start in education by teaching independence and teamwork.

You will be responsible for leading the up to 3's Nursery staff under the direction of the Head of School and Executive Headteacher, ensuring high-quality, fully integrated care and education. You will liaise and coordinate with staff to provide integrated provision for children accessing Nursery spaces in up to 3's Nursery, including breakfast, tea, or holiday club sessions. Additionally, you will act as one of the Deputy Safeguarding Leads in the Head of School's absence and serve as an INCo for the up to 3's Nursery, liaising with the Nursery School SENco.

The ideal Nursery Manager will have:

  • Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent (essential)
  • EYPS/EYTS or Foundation degree in Early Years or above
  • Paediatric and First Aid at Work qualifications
  • A current UK driving license and access to a car
  • Leadership experience within a nursery setting
  • Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Social Media, email)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations
  • A flexible, positive, and creative approach to conflict resolution
  • Self-motivated with a flexible attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team, building positive relationships
